چکیده

Power tiller-driven plow tillage and crop residue exclusionary Traditional Agriculture practices are expensive, labor demanding, soil damaging, eco-unfriendly. Over the last several years, pursuits of production through sustaining productive capacity soils, environmental quality, have raised concern to adopt Conservation worldwide. Single combined with herbicides retention principles being developed. Between 2016–2017 2017–2018, a two-year on-farm experiment was done in Bangladesh. We practiced two establishment methods; Agriculture: Plow followed by three manual weeding without preservation previous Pre-plant herbicide + single pre-emergence post-emergence herbicide; under rice–wheat rice–wheat–mungbean systems. Data reveal that more cost-effective technique than rice, wheat, mungbean increasing ratio benefit costs 24.3%, 35.7% 48.8%, respectively, savings operations (66.3%, 58.1%, 57.6%, respectively), expenditures (59.2%, 24.5%, 42.2%, manpower requirements (25.1%, 27.2%, 31.3%, respectively). This has resulted an increase 32% productivity systems yield advantage 16%, 31% 37% wheat mungbean, respectively. When added, system’s rose 43%. The system had highest land utilization efficiency (99.45%), (92.05%), which expanded scope include additional crops into system. Moreover, 59.7% greater Agriculture, where having (53.00 kg–1 ha–1 day–1), (45.57 day–1).

Traditional agriculture in rainfed uplands of India has been experiencing low agricultural productivity as the lands suffer from poor soil fertility, susceptibility to water erosion and other external pressures of development and climate change. A shift toward more sustainable cropping systems such as conservation agriculture production systems (CAPSs) may help in maintaining soil quality as we...

Watershed conservation prioritization using geomorphometric and land use-land cover parameters

Geomorphometric features and land use/land cover are essential in the context of watershed prioritization for resources conservation and protection. Watersheds in tropical regions like the Philippines are under threat of degradation due to the combined effects of uncontrolled agricultural activities in the uplands and frequently increasing erosive precipitations brought about by climate change....

Conservation agriculture systems for Malawian smallholder farmers: long-term effects on crop productivity, profitability and soil quality

Conservation agriculture (CA) systems are based uponminimal soil disturbance; crop residue retention and crop rotation and/or intercrop association are increasingly seen to recycle nutrients, increase yield and reduce production costs. This study examines the effects of CA practices on crop productivity, profitability and soil quality under the conditions encountered by smallholder farmers in t...
